Chilean Patagonia: Torres del Paine and why you need to come see it

If your vacation in Chile includes a tour to Patagonia, you may not have noticed, but the Chilean Patagonia is so big that you are going to have to choose. Among other things, it has kilometers and kilometers of fjords, isolated areas, national parks, glaciers, trekking circuits and other natural attractions.

Chilean Patagonia is the region that extends from Puerto Montt to Cabo de Hornos, and therefore covers part of the Lagos Region, the Aysén Region in full and part of the Magallanes Region. This is a tour of almost 3000 kilometers, many of which are difficult to access.

Without a doubt the best time to visit Chilean Patagonia is summer time, but also the months of March and April. It is true that spring and autumn offer different colors and, if you are lucky, maybe good time, but summer, December - January - February, are the best months to travel through this area of Chile.

Torres del Paine is perhaps the most famous Chilean icon which pretty much defines the South of Chile. Torres del Paine, its three granitic towers around 2600 meters of altitude, are of a supreme beauty. Arriving at your base can be done in a day circuit from Puerto Natales. If possible and the weather allows it, its most majestic views are at dawn, when the tips of the towers are reddened by the incandescent light of the sun

Torres del Paine National Park is too spectacular to stay alone with the towers. It is necessary to place your backpack on the shoulder to go, and you will see glaciers, wonderful views and mountains. There are several travel options or circuits. The W is one of the most popular on an approximate 4-day tour from the Gray Glacier to the Towers themselves, entering the French valley and bordering the horns. If this is not the option for you and you want some more time there, you can do the O circuit traveling on a circular route all of the Torres Del Paine in a circuit that is between 7 and 10 days.

Everything is ready for you to pack your bags and come visit Chile.

Your dream trip is here waiting for you!
